The Experience

Gurneys Ride Experience — One-Way E Bike Adventure
$185 per person — includes E Bike hire and return shuttle collection from Gurneys to Meeniyan.

Gather your group of at least two and enjoy a relaxed Gippsland adventure with our Gurneys Ride Experience, designed for riders who want scenery, great cider, and an easy day out. Your day begins at 10.00am, picking up your E‑Bikes from Great Southern Ride in Meeniyan. Every hire includes a quality E‑Bike, helmet, lock, basket, top‑bar bag, drink holder, and simple user instructions, so you can roll out feeling confident and comfortable.

From Meeniyan, you’ll head straight onto the Great Southern Rail Trail for a gentle 30‑kilometre one‑way ride through rolling farmland and peaceful bushland. After 19 kilometres — around 1 hour and 15 minutes — you’ll arrive in Fish Creek, a colourful, creative village that’s perfect for a break. Spend around an hour exploring the shops, browsing the galleries, grabbing a coffee, and enjoying the atmosphere before continuing your journey. You’ll leave Fish Creek at 12.30pm for the final 11‑kilometre stretch to Gurneys Cidery — approximately a 45‑minute ride — arriving around 1.15pm.

At Gurneys, you’ll be welcomed by a relaxed, open setting with breath taking views across the hills toward Wilsons Promontory. The cidery offers a warm, easy-going atmosphere with a dedicated trail entrance for cyclists and plenty of space to settle in for the afternoon. Enjoy award‑winning small‑batch ciders made from heritage apples, tasting paddles, seasonal releases, pizza or an antipasto platter while you take in the views. We’ve allowed two hours at Gurneys, giving you plenty of time to unwind and savour the experience.

Our collection shuttle will be ready to pick you up from Gurneys at 3.30pm and return you to Meeniyan so you can finish your day feeling refreshed and relaxed. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, riders must be at least 13 years old, a minimum of 153 cm tall, and able to demonstrate confident riding skills.

Ride timings at a glance

·        10.00am: Pick up your E‑Bikes at Great Southern Ride in Meeniyan.

·        Meeniyan to Fish Creek: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes riding, followed by around an hour exploring Fish Creek.

·        12.30pm: Leave Fish Creek for the approximately 45‑minute ride to Gurneys.

·        1.15pm: Arrive at Gurneys Cidery, with two hours allowed to relax and enjoy the experience.

·        3.30pm: Collection shuttle ready to pick you up at Gurneys and return you to Meeniyan.
